Something is wrong....

Alright--I've been busting my butt on the ending. I'm terrible with making things look as if they are stopping naturally, so I'm having a tough time with this. I think what my problem may be is to overlap the arm movement more with the spine. They seem to be two seperate actions to me at least, right now. But when I move the arm action closer to the spine, it still looks funny. I want him to fall onto the box. Maybe also the arms are both moving at the same time... Ack! Help!

  1. This looks really good to me! :) About the ending...hmm... maybe you could show a bit more exhasperation at having to lift this damn box up the stairs like maybe he could pant or something. Hmm. I'm just giving suggestions off the top of my head (Tanith would probably know better than me) but I think it would be cool if he puts the box up on the top step and like has this "phew, that was really hard" panting moment before flopping onto the box like "why the hell did I get this job?" Haha. But I like the way that this animation is progressing - each time you post it it gets more character and personality! :D You're so super close to perfection!

  2. The timing is looking great. I love the pause after the first drop, it really feels like a good amount of anticipation.

So, for the ending... I'm thinking the box should come down and *then* the guy falls on it as a follow through. Maybe as he's lifting it onto the last step, it's almost like a small jump, where he goes up on his toes, so that when he falls down onto it the weight will look more realistic.

  3. So far so good. At the end don't have him go limp. It looks like 'his strings get cut'. You would try to be steady and tense when planting a heavy on the floor.
