all quiet...
Well--I did some more work today on the head and neck. Now--I'm not sure if it's too, bobbly. hehe.
As far as the end is concerned, since I like what I've done here so much my next animation is going to be in continuance with this same idea. So the next shot after this one will be another break time for Norman. Where he is lying on the box trying to regain his composure. So maybe that will help out with the ending being the way it is, or at least I hope so. :P
In other news--I took some pictures of the ice this weekend. In hopes of getting some textures or just, cool things. So here those are :P Some of them I took purely for texturing purposes so they might not look so hot, but I've read that good bump map pictures are evenly lit, not overly hi-lighted and shadowed. So, I tried not to level them too much.
Wow, that looks way more fluid! I don't think the head look super bobby, but it probably wouldn't hurt it to tone down the head just a tiny bit...but seriously, this makes the entire piece so much more smooth and natural looking! Kick ass!
ReplyDeleteAlly, this is fantastic. Can you feel the difference in how it feels more complete than some of your other pieces? Seriously, looks great! I think the only part that might need a little tweak is when he falls down on the box the first time. I think it'd look a little better if he *almost* comes to a stop, because it looks a little swimmy when he comes down and hovers over the box before picking it back up.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, it's really good!!
yes I can definitely see a difference--now of course I wish all my other animations had that fluidity. I may go back and see if I can add some of that in....
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the first fall. I'm going to hold off on it for a while and start on the next leg. It's always good to go back after a while and take another look anyway. A fresh perspective. :)
Your photos are so bad ass!You make New York look pretty!
