Dekopon

Yesterday for lunch a few coworkers and I went to Whole Foods in search of a rare fruit, the Dekopon. Apparently it's only available in California (Southern) and only at certain Whole Foods and farmers markets. It was $2.99/lb but definitely worth it. It's about the size of a grapefruit and has a sweet/sour taste. Delicious!

  1. In the east coast we call it a Mineola orange

  2. It's not a Mineola Orange. A mineola orange is a tangerine/grapefruit mix. Dekopon is two Japanese Tangerines. It only grows in California besides Japan.
