El Mirage (part deux NY style)

This past weekend my childhood friends from New York invaded my personal space and wreaked havoc in LA. Since we're all artists (aside from poor Sean) I decided to take them back to where I had been a few weeks before--over to Victorville and El Mirage.

It was quite the trip out there. Due to the fires going on right now we drove through some incredibly intense skies complete with ash. To my knowledge we weren't near the fires at all, but for some reason the sky was very very red. Once we got past that and out to El Mirage the skies cleared up but the dust storms were frequent. Instead of dust devils this time we experienced huge clouds of dust hurling themselves at us. Everytime we took out the camera to take a group shot we had to run back to the car and stick our heads in the truck like ostriches. As shown here...

But, despite the frequent trips to the trunk we did get a few group shots..

I didn't get much photo wise this time around. Perhaps because I've been here before.
