The beginning of change

Some major changes have occurred since my last post. I'm currently located in Los Angeles and working for Image Metrics on a high profile video game. It's been great fun and I'm learning so much about the human face as well as Los Angeles. :)

In anticipation of a new reel, I've started at the basics with some web design ideas. I feel as though the age of professional DVD demo's is at an end, so I've been focusing more on my website. I'm very much into clean and simple design. I hate overly flashy pages but at the same time I hate under designed pages that lack identity.

So I came up with this for starters. The first page is an opener to establish my identity, and the second is a sample demo page. I put my sunflower in the background to give it some texture and if I go with this look I'll have to blend the petals into the background better, so ignore that... But I figure it'll be a while before I put this into flash (or spend the time to make it work in html). Plenty of time for redesign.

[Oh and, it looks like crap as a thumbnail and isn't much better as a full rez jpg. I have a slight gradient in the background which is much more apparent in the jpg than the action comp :)]
