web work

In between all of the 3D, I've been slowly redesigning Melissa's website. Her current site is at www.melissamiracolo.com which was also created by me. I've since worked with her on her logo and entire look of her site, so here are a few pages. This sample is a combined version of two designs and so now we're up to the layout of the photographs. I didn't post my mock-ups while I was designing, sorry blogger.

Anyway, the "standard square" of photographs is a 5 row x 4 column, 20 photographs total. The only page that has the closest to that square is the landscape page. So, I tried to lay out each page depending on the amount of photographs. Obviously the photos are just thumbnails and when clicked upon would reveal the full photograph (we haven't gotten that far yet). I like the thumbnails really small so that the viewer will click to see more, but I'm wondering if they are too small. The site itself I designed so that there was room for expansion so at the current thumbnail size I originally had about 70 photographs on one page. Which is a lot of photographs. hehe. :)

I really like the style you've got going for her website. Do you do web design in dreamweaver or do you code it out? It looks super awesome and when it comes time for me to do my website, I will steal some of your kung fu.
