slowing down

Well then, I made a bit of a boo boo. I thought there was something funny about some of my animations and turns out I had some of the frame rates set wrong in After Effects. It's okay, I still love 'ya AE. :) But it kinda means that a lot of my animations have been going faster then they were meant to. So, everything has been re-uploaded, again. Looking for some critique, most specifically on the dance number. I'm not sure if slower is better for it or not--now it looks really floaty. hmmmm....

  1. I actually think the dance animation is the least strong at the moment. You're right about it feeling very floaty. There doesn't seem to be much weight, especially after watching your delivery clip. I think maybe the root is what needs to be messed with on the Dance number. Maybe make sure the root is always over the foot that the weight is being put on when he's moving from one side to the other. I think he kind of just stays in the center of his feet most of the time.

Oh, and there are a couple of pops in the dog walk. I noticed it in his front left paw right before he steps down, and the back right leg extends to far so it pops from being bent to being completely straight (that's what you have to get rid of) to being bent again. I'm working on a run cycle with that very same model right now :)

Everything else looks great! I like what you did with the delivary clip. If you ever have time, it might be cute to have him kind of turn around and fall/sit down on the step right below the box and pull his hat off or something. Just an idea! I know it's a lot of work :-P

  2. yes I suppose since I won't be continuing the delivery story, I should end the animation. I too feel like it get's cut off.

But first I suppose I should attend to my dance and dog. Now that I have the delivery piece the dance does seem the weakest. Can't have that! :)
